🌱🐔 Hydroponic Microgreens Tray – Chook Salad, Sorted! 💦🥬

This clever little tray is what we use to grow fresh microgreens for our flock – and let us tell you, our chickens go nuts for wheatgrass!

It’s super simple to use:

Start by grabbing a bag of wheat from a bulk grain shop like Bin Inn.
Soak the grains overnight in water.
The next day, spread them out on the tray – it acts like a sieve so the grains stay moist without sitting in a puddle.
Keep them damp (but not swampy!) and the excess water will drain neatly into the drip tray below.

Over the next week or so, you'll start to see a healthy tangle of roots growing. The water in the bottom tray keeps the grains hydrated – low maintenance and no mess!

By day 6 or 7, you’ll have a lush green mat of wheatgrass ready to serve up to your hungry hens 🐥🌾
